642 in an Uncle Mike's or DeSantis Nemesis. It was with me this morning during my haircut and will be with me at my nephew's birthday party this afternoon. FWIW, today I'm wearing blue jeans with a tucked-in long sleeve shirt.

340PD in either an Uncle Mike's pocket holster or a Don Hume pocket holster, either front or rear pocket, depending on pants and possibly cover garment. I prefer OWB in a pancake holster, and carry that way when I can; but the pocket is easier to conceal in more situations and more convenient as well.

I prefer to carry IWB - then it's a 3" 1911. But I pocket carry much more often. I just got a 342 to replace my bobbed M37. I will be experimenting with some new pocket holsters. Current is a Galco leather 'rough-out' model (#PHI58).

All day carry: S&W 442/642 - Uncle Mikes #3 Pocket Holster...Short Term Carry: S&W 640/60 - Uncle Mikes #3 Pocket Holster...

Kahr PM9 in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. Also carried IWB in a High Noon holster occasionally. I forget the model, but it's comfortable, tuckable, and even less noticeable than pocket carry.

Just started this week..642 in either vest pocket or front pants pocket in a Desantis Nemisis(front pocket,w/out a holster in the vest)I prefer the vest carry though(doesn't weigh my pants down;) )

50% pocket carry, 50% ankle carry the glock27 (in the summer) but i carry a Glock19 with +P ammo in the winter in a IWB.

I switch between a S&W 642 in a Uncle Mike's #3 pocket Holster and a Kahr PM9 that also fits in the same Uncle Mike's #3. The only thing though is if you us the PM9, I would stay away from the Pearce pinky extensions. I put one on my PM9 mag and I think it patterns more that way. I took it off and it conceals much better.

A must have though for the 642 is a nice set of Crimson Trace grips. Very nice for point shooting if you don't have enough time to aim.

Honorary life-time member, pocket carry

I'm no expert in most firearms discussions but I am a self-proclaimed expert in pocket carry in that I have never carried any other way.

A partial list of what I have carried:

NAA mini revolver, .22 LR
Beretta Mod 21 Bobcat, .22 LR
Kel-Tec P11, 9 mm
Taurus Mod 85 ultralite, .38 spcl
Kel-Tec P32, .32 auto
Smith and Wesson mod 638 Bodyguard, .38 spcl
Taurus Mod 605, .357 mag
NAA mini revolver, .22 mag
Smith and Wesson Mod 340SC, .357 mag
Kel-Tec P-3AT, .380 auto

Notes: Of the above group, the P11 was the most difficult to pocket-carry; the best of the bunch as far as power-to-weight ratio was the Smith 340SC. The most easy-to-conceal and the one that goes where no other goes is my .22 mag NAA mini-revolver. Probably my all-around favorite was the Kel-Tec P-3AT but I could not hit the side of a barn with it!

Holsters? For pocket carry, lighter, thinner, and flexible is my preference. I have an Uncle Mike's size 1 and 3. I also have a DeSantis Nemesis which is excellent.

I normally wear Docker-style pleated front pants which makes concealment a dream, especially with a small revolver. With Jeans, I stick with the .22 mag mini.

pocket carry

Seecamp .380 in an Ahern Pocket Natural. When I can, a Glock 26 in IWB.

I carry my Kel Tec P11 in the pocket sometimes. Use an Uncle Mike's #3. Usually it's OWB or coat pocket. My P3AT is my preferred pocket carry but it's in rehab right now down in Florida at the KT factory being taught how to operate like a gun is supposed to operate.
Everything else I have is too big for pants pocket carry so they do OWB or fanny pack
