pocket holster issue

I use Kramer pocket holster for my 642. I wear Dockers shorts or pants almost every day. I notice that the holster will leave black marks on my tan pants. Does anyone know how to prevents this?

I use Uncle Mike's (10 bucks) and don't have this problem.

Its bleeding dye...after a certain (unknown) amount of time some holsters do this. You can get a good clear coat from a leather store and apply a very very small amount to keep it from bleeding.

Well I called Wilsons leather and they said the only thing they have something to protect it from water. Can you give me any more specifics on the name of this "clear coat?"

Try Galco. Mine is of suede (furry surface) material. Very sturdy.

Your Galco has a Clear Coat on it, you just cant see it...its not shiney.

Call "the leather factory" or Tandy leather.............they carry the stuff you want...........

You want a raw leather supplier...not a finished goods retailer........
