Has any THR member taken an international police job like this before, and would any THR member consider an international police job like this in the future?

 :what:

Also, does anyone know what type of firearms are issued to these international cops?

:scrutiny: :uhoh: :scrutiny:

DynCorp is a subcontractor for the UN. You would be a UN police officer and training the regional police officers in the area. Anther area of duty would be Internal Affairs. Beware, some of the police over there are very corupt.
It pays very very well. Also, if you work over there and are in the US less than 30 days, your wages are not taxed. If you in the US for 30 or more days(ie vacation time, etc) your wages get taxed. You have to sign up for a least a year contract.
You're issued a 9mm for your sidearm.
DynCorp recently got bought out by CSC and I think the pay scale and benefits have been slightly changed.
BTW do you remember the Jordanian UN police officer that opened fire on some American UN police officers and killed two? Those were DynCorp employees. Money isn't everything.

Back in December I answered an ad for pest control techs in Iraq at $80,000. I'm about #30 on the list to go. Seems kinda unfair that bugmen can make the same as cops.

Wasn't it $1,000,000 tax free to be police chief in Iraq? Tell you what. For $500k I'll do it if they let me work @ home via the internet. :D

Pest control in Iraq might not have anything to do with bugs
