Most of us Makarov (Rus., EG, Bulgy) owners are aware that spare parts are much more available for Maks, than for the excellent P-83, so let's not waste time on that comparison.

Do any Polish handgun aficionados anticipate that there could be more types of spare parts for the Wanad 83, or even more of the guns imported, if allowed by this and future Politburos?

Bought my first P-83 yesterday and it seems just as rugged/reliable as my three Makarovs, but would not mind buying a second Wanad.
A shop in west TN has about ten P-83s, plus the CZ-82 (already have one) and CZ-83s.

A P-83 has become my carry piece. I bought a second as a spare. As far as I know, they are still being imported, and available in good numbers. I don't think parts will be an issue, and they are built like Maks which means tank like, so I don't anticipate problems.

What parts are you concerned about?

I got my replacement springs from Wolff yesterday for my CZ-82.

The firing pin seems like a good replacement part to keep on hand. Maybe the extractor also. (The jury is still out on the condition of the extractor in my CZ-82. I am going to take a close look at it this weekend when I am replace the springs).

Thanks very much. With the 9x18 snap caps for these four guns and .380 caps for the Russian IZH-70 etc, maybe it wouldn't ever be an issue.

And even more of the P-83s will continue to be imported?
That would partly help compensate for no more Makarovs coming in.
