The only 2 9MM pistols I owned are a 72C Belguim Hi Power and a Glock 19. Needless to say, I love the BHP the most. Its a great gun.

BTW, its the only 9MM in my safe. The Glock has gone by by. No need for a G19 when you have a BHP to play with. :D

I voted no better, no worse, but that may change over time. I really like mine, but I also really like my sigs.

The sigs feel better, but I like the trigger on the BHP more, so it's a toss up.

I've got several 9mms that I really like -- a CZ-85 Combat, a CZ-75B SA that has been nicely gunsmithed, a Glock 34, a Sphinx AT2000P, and a '68 BHP. They're all great guns.

They all shoot almost equally accurately/precisely.

I'm fastest in competition with the Glock, for reasons I don't really understand, but enjoy the 75B SA and BHP most, when just punching paper at the range.

My HP was my 'first love', and my favorite 9mm---until I got a good trigger on my CZ75SA.

I almost feel like I'm cheating...but the CZ, with nothing but a basic trigger job, runs with the BHP and it's match barrel, Novak sights, C&S parts and extensive trigger work.

I've had several different 9x19 mm pistols

- - And have shot a lot more types.

S&W, Glock, Walther, H&K, Kahr, Kel Tec, Mauser, Radom/Vis, CZ, Luger, Colt, Beretta, Taurus, Bennelli - - Dunno what all.

I prefer the Browning HP to any of 'em. It's a combination of factors: Reliability, accuracy, tradition, workmanship - - These can be measured in a more-or-less objective manner. The less tangible but no less important subjective factors are, after reliability, about equally important - - "Feel," ease of operation, and confidence.

I'm getting to where I like the Glock 19 pretty well, but I still rate the P35 as #1.

Best,
Johnny

I have two.

A MKIII and an FN Compact.

Wonderful pistols with the most natural pointability I have ever experienced.

My first 9mm was a High Power and I will always have one around.
Though they aren't my favorite 9mms I still like them a lot.

My BHP Practical hasn't been to the range in months. The following have:

SIG 229
GLOCK 19
Beretta 92fs

That should tell you something. Mostly it is about the fairly bad trigger in the BHP, along with the poorly sized safety lever (hard to get back on).

All that said, everyone should have a BHP -- it is an icon in pistol design history, like the 1911.

2 BHP's. 1 FNHP.

The two BHP's are both in .40, one's a Standard and one's a Practical.

The FN (BHP MKIII), is a 9mm. I prefer the 9mm.

I have shot other 9mm's but prefer the HP over them.

I've got several BHPs, a CZ75-B "Retro", a KelTec P11, and a Glock 17. The BHP is my favorite.

I have a BHP practical in the lovely silver chrome :D
I love to shoot it at the range, but it is a little too big for carry, so other guns get more time and rounds thru them.
Does it mean I love the others more?, no I just love them different, like you'd love your kids (maybe).

I have a Belgian made BHP with Heinie sights, custom action job, Hogue grips, etc. etc.

It's a great pistol but I think my Beretta Elite has a more comfortable grip; I prefer my G17 for home defense/CCW; I shoot my Para 18.9 LDA significantly better. So.......

I have a Wilson customized BHP, an Arcus, Kahr K9 and an XD-9.

I have always felt the BHP was the best shooting, best looking and best feeling pistol I owned, but I'm getting more and more attached to the XD-9 all the time.

I will probably always be a better shot with the BHP, but I don't like the idea of carrying cocked and locked and that's why I'm getting more attached to the almost as good shooting, DAO XD-9.

The HPs down fall for me is the extremely long trigger reset, almost as bad as a DAO. It is very difficult for me to shoot rapidly with it.

At the time I bought my FEG clone I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $400+ on a 9mm, but of all the 9mm pistols I'd tried: Sig 226, Glock 17, Colt Commander, SW 5906, Beretta, CZ 75 to name a few... I liked the BHP the best.

I want a 'real' BHP now... preferably one marked FN.

Even so, my FEG has most of the bluing worn off the backstrap, a C&S safety, no mag disconnector and is likely THE pistol I'd grab if I felt I 'needed a gun in a hurry." It's my IDPA gun and the centerfire I'm the most accurate with. That says a lot.

OK the HK P7 was way cool but I didn't get to shoot one until way after I bought my clone.

eh. I've got a HP Practical I'm toying with selling/trading. Bought it used about 7 years ago. It's got high adjustable sights that I don't like and the previous owner doinked with the springs so I had some FTF. Replaced all the springs except the trigger return spring which I tried to tweak and bent it out of shape.

Been thinking of sending it off to C&S or somewhere for new low mount sights and some other reliability work.........but by then I'd have maybe 800+ in the pistol and it's just not worth it. The whole trigger setup in a HP is not really good; up overhead into the slide and back down into the frame again.

Odd, too, because I owned a HP in the mid 70's that I remember I liked a lot.

Toying with the idea of an XD9, but can't get used to the idea of a plastic pistol, then there's the 'dingus on the trigger' thing.........reminds me of 'mini-me'........

I shoot my CZ75B very well, very accurate and stone cold reliable, good trigger. Maybe I'll get another one of those.

What I really want (I think) is a 1911 in 9mm, but then why lose the ability for a hi cap mag?

I dunno. Can't make up my mind.
