And the hits just keep on coming.
The apologists will be along to blame the users here momentarily. Seriously the lunacy of the gun community putting up with products that don't work is really amusing sometimes.
Colt says five have been returned so far out of 2,000 released, two for cosmetic reasons. What is that, .25% for a new model? Big deal. It hardly equates to ‘total’ junk.
Yeah, Hickok 45 is a "moron". The guy puts more downrange in a week, than you do in a year. He has over 1.2 BILLION views, and over 5 MILLION subscribers. And he averages 800,000 views per day. He has a net worth of over $3,000,000.00. The bulk of which was derived from his You Tube shooting channel. He has fired just about every type of rifle, pistol, revolver, and shotgun imaginable. And shoots them ALL well.
But he's a "moron" because Colt sent him a crappy revolver that doesn't run right. The whole Colt fanboy attitude around here is fast becoming a running joke.
Colt is lying.
I sure hope nothing Smith and Wesson or Ruger releases in the next couple of years has any teething problems.
I get the fact your upset with Colt Bill. Have you had a bad experience with them or just bashing them because you can? You really seem to have some anger built up. Do you just serf the Internet looking for problems with the company? Do you have a Python that's junk? Maybe your just trying to warn everyone not to buy a Python so the company will quit selling them. Maybe your sitting on several old ones and hope the new one fails. Either way I feel your hatred is misdirected. The Python is not having, "teething problems". By the time this is over, it will be fitted with dentures.
Colt has admitted problems. How do you know how many have been returned? When did Colt make their statement?Colt is lying.

Please don't entertain any ideas of buying one of their pieces of junk then you will never have to worry about ever returning a gun for warrenty or appearance/ functionality problems.
Colt is bashing themselves. No one is doing it to them. They made all of this happen, not their customers or critics. They produced a substandard revolver with a LOT of issues. Accompanied with very high price tag, that equates to over twice what either Ruger or S&W charges for a comparable revolver. Then shipped it out with minimal, if any inspection. Now they're paying the price for their shoddy workmanship and manufacturing. If they would have taken the time to make the damn thing right in the first place, none of this would be happening.
Ok kids. First off, calm down. I didn't spit on your dog and I never said Hickok was a moron, did I? The guy who can't shoot without flinching, that's the type I was talking about and there are plenty of them. I mentioned his flinch on the video and he thanked me. Maybe so but sending them to people who don't know how to operate one correctly are not helping their case at all. Due to the success of people like Hickok45, everybody and their uncle is trying to do the same. Some are halfway decent, others not so much..... or maybe they should ship products that function properly.

Secondly, you have no friggin' idea how many rounds Hickok puts down range in a year. Nor do you know how many I put downrange in a year. Rest assured, every one of mine is bought and paid for, as are the guns they launch from. If this appeal to authority makes you feel better, think whatever you want but making silly generalizations like that will get your tail in a crack. You've already dug yourself quite the hole without making it personal. That said, Hickok45 is a personable fellow who shoots at reactive targets. He doesn't do any formal testing. So let us not pretend for one second that he's the second coming of Skeeter Skelton.
Last but not least, I have in NO WAY made excuses for Colt shipping a faulty product. If you had actually been around here for a while before you started frothing at the mouth, you'd know that I have always been very critical of Colt. But I have to give credit where it is due as the Colt SAA of today is the best it's ever been and their 1911's are also quite good. Simply put, I just think that people like yourself and spending way too much effort bashing Colt over this issue. Maybe if you spent more time shooting and less time bellyaching about Colt, watches and whatever else, you'd have a more harmonious outcome.

Maybe these manufacturers should be more choosy about which YouTube morons they ship test guns to???
Pretty sure he's not the one who's been "lumping everyone into the same derogatory category" -- suggest you reread your own posts in this thread (and the one you got closed). Perhaps he didn't need explain his way out of anything; perhaps someone else needed to read more carefully. Then you need to be more "choosy" when you start calling people, "You Tube morons". If you stop lumping everyone into the same derogatory category, who have all had issues with this POS, it won't take you 3 paragraphs to explain your way out of it.
Ah, yeah, no. Still have not seen credible documentation regarding numbers of faulty/blemished revolvers other than what the Colt reps have put forth -- publicly, I might add, while still allowing everyone and their brother at SHOT to line up and shoot the actual guns.Colt is lying.
