Not to change the topic but has anyone shot the Springfield XDM Elite 3.8” 10MM offering?

I have. Attached is a recent thread. In summary it's accurate, shoots well and tames recoil well, as I shot some pretty stout loads through mine.

Not sure I want a 10MM with anything less than a 4” barrel. I’m waiting on a S&W M&P 2.0 in 4.6” barrel and I noticed the XDM model on Gunbroker while searching for the M&P.

Any comparison between the XDM and a G29?

You can't go wrong with either. I bought the G29 a number of months ago as a woods gun as the options were limited. I shoot it ok, but the bulk of it's grip makes it not the best choice for me, but that's a personal decision. The grip on the XDM fits me better, and had it been available when I bought the G29 I would have bought it instead. I definitely shoot the XDM better, but again that's me.

Thanks for that feedback. Only reason I haven’t gotten the G29 was for the grip. Love my G20 but didn’t think the 29 would be a good option after I hated the G27 I had.
If the discussion has drifted away from the M&P 10mm into discussions about the G29 and XDM, I guess I can close this one
