Oh, I didn't forget.

He was asking for AR and AK pics. But thanks for reminding me about that evil M14NM. It hasn't seen a firing range, or even much daylight from it's hiding place in the safe, in over a year now. Perhaps it would fare better on the other side of Florida. :(

(They closed my range at Kennedy Space Center for "lead contamination")

The most enjoyment I get out of my rifle collection these days is either digital images when I'm overseas, or pulling them out of the safe every month or so for a wipedown with Rusteprufe. But they'll be there when I find another decent rifle range...

He clarified it to all evil rifles in his message text, so dump out the safe and put new batteries in the camera. :D

Intestingly, they keep one of the county owned local ranges open because of lead contamination. If they shut it down, the county has to pay to clean up the land.

The obligatory SAR-1

Well, I recently posted this in another thread, but I want to play here too.

All of these pictures makes me hate living in California. I guess I will have to console myself with the nice weather we have.

BTW....What kind of optic is on that SAR-1 DMK?
It's a Millett "MultiDot" Red Dot. It's actually a pretty cool optic. It has an adjustable dot size along with the usual brightness adjustment. At close range (25 yards or less), turning up the size of the dot makes quick snap shots fun and easy. For longer range(100 yards or more) precision shots, you can make the dot just a tiny point of light.

Like most Red Dots, there no magnification on this optic of course, but IMO, Red Dots and AKs go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly. :)

Starfuryzeta......Nice collection! I just love to see peoples' non-PC weapons. I am amazed at how many of us there are here! The evil factor is climbing!!!!Hehehehe.

DMK.....I have been looking into various optics for my SAR-1. I will definately have to check those out. Thanks for the info.:)

Bring on the evil guns!!!!!!

Nightcrawler:

All work was done by Chris at AK-USA. It (and all of AK-USA's .223 AK's) takes slightly modified Bulgarian 5.45 mags with Robarm followers.....same mag setup as the .223 Vepr. They work perfectly....the gun has about 500 rounds through it now without a single malfunction. This rifle cost close to $1200 with all the parts and custom work (Saiga included) but Chris does build other more affordable .223's such as his AK-101.

I don't have any "family" pictures. Here's my patrol carbine.

***Edit***

Oops- I guess my file was too large. Sorry guys...

BTW- it's a Bushmaster LE XM15-E2S with Eotech, BMAS rear flip sight, BMAS 3-rail gas block with front flip sight, 4 position stock, and M3 illuminator.

You can shrink the picture. Just copy and paste it into Windows "Paint". In the pull down menus, go to "IMAGE", and select "STRETCH/SKEW". In the stretch boxes, put down 50 or 45. Make sure you put the same number in the horizontal and vertical; it'll reduce the size of the image. to 50%, or 45%, or whatever you put in the boxes. Save it as a .jpeg file; .bmp files are HUGE for some reason.

Nice rifles guys!

Procharger....Glad to see that ya' got one. Enjoy it, cuz it looks like a beautiful example of an SAR!.......And evil too!!!!
