The PSL does very well at 700m if I use good ammo (7N1) and shoot from a bench. It also does pretty well with Czech silvertip out to about 500 or so, but 700 becomes iffy. 700 is also the farthest I have fired with it due to range space, but it's probably my practical max range with this rifle/scope combo.

I had ALOT of trouble with this rifle when I first got it and almost gave up. I couldn't get a decent group and couldn't zero the scope. I'm glad I stuck with it, though. Once I learned *how* to shoot this rifle and learned how the scope works I'm really happy with it.

Edit: missed the part about the Saiga. I don't own one, so I can't really say which is better. I'd imagine they're about the same considering it's the same basic rifle in different clothes. If anything, the Saiga might perform a little better once the barrel gets hot but that's just a guess.

My Mini-14 went away, and this basic WASR-10 replaced it. Something I've been contemplating for a while. IL's impending SB1007 accelerated my plans. Gotta love unintended consequences.

I hope to get it out this weekend and function test it.

I never really cared too much for AK-47s, preferring instead the AR-15 style rifles. Then, when our new "speaker" took office, I decided, how perfect...for a mere $299.00 at Dunhams, I can buy one of the most hated "black rifles" in the world! It isn't even black! So, in celebration of our new "speaker", I present to you, my AK-47! She should be proud of herself...if she hadn't been such an anti-fanatic, I never would have bought an AK-47! Keep going anti-gunners...I may buy that AR-50 yet!
