Using the "find" feature I receive:
(D) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least 2 of&endash;&endash;

(i) a folding or telescoping stock;

(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;

(iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds; and

(iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine.


My interpretation is that this means we can only have one of the above, and no more.

Stupid stupid law but definitely correct.

You can not legally own a semi automatic shotgun that has both a pistol grip and a magazine capable of taking more than 5 rounds of 12 gauge 2.75inch ammo unless it was made before that infamous September 1994 date.

I have a Beretta 1201FP set up with the pistol grip and I had to plug the tube so it only holds 5 rounds of 2.75inch. The BATFE and I had quite the powwow regarding the interpretation of this law.

Take the PG off and you are golden because that makes it a kindler, gentler kind of shotgun much less likely to be used in a dangerous way. I believe it also reduces the velocity of the shot to the speed of thrown confetti.

Right now it is stock but I plan to add a Meprolight tritium front bead. This is all I am going to do to it.
