found this one over the weekend. how about something a little different. deer season 35 years ago with gramps savage thats in my safe now, and gonna go back in the field this season.
It is a Marbles Tang that uses the lower tang screw and has another screw that you must drill and tap for. It has three peep discs and is a wonderful addition to a nice light weight woods walking rifle.
Well, it's my dad's Winchester 30-30. I don't know alot about it other than it was the first gun I ever hunted with, he bought back in the 50's, and the buttstock isn't original because his dad busted it over a stubborn horse:
here's a so-so picture of one my favorites, a Winchester 9422 Trapper (.22 LR) one of the now discontinued short (16") barrel versions. It's a great learner rifle for my son but still a good shooting fun versatile gun.
