My Single Six

heres my used new model super Single six 5.5" barrel with ruger after market blued steel ejector rod housing. it shoots CCI mini-mag solids very nicely.

@ Boxhead: Is that a SS in .41 Special???

I'd _once_ hear about an _article_ that _mentioned_ a .41Spl Single Six, which puts it in about the same category as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

Who made it for you, how does it shoot? Enquiring minds and all that...

Yes it is a 41 Special Single Six. My only load to date has been a 215 gr SWC over 6.5 grs of Unique which should go 850 fps or so though I have not yet chronographed it. It is superbly accurate, no question due to the builder (Alan Harton) and the new oversized line-bored cylinder.

4-5/8" Single Six with Bearcat. The "marks" on the barrel are just fingerprints on the oiled barrel what showed up when the lighting hit it from the camera.

First handgun I ever shot was a blued, fixed sights, 4 5/8" .22lr Single Six belonging to my uncle, a cop who died young in the line of duty when I was in fourth or fifth grade. I loved that gun, not sure what happened to it. A few months ago I ran across this stainless 5 1/2" at a local gun shop. In memory of the man who introduced me to shooting sports, I had to have it and bought it on the spot.
