Powder suggestions for .44 Magnum.

It's been awhile since I played around with aromatic substitutions. I haven't done any wet bench top chemistry in so long, I've forgotten a lot of the lab techniques.
 
I tested IMR 4227 a few days ago under some Montana Gold 240 JFP's and they shot just fine at 22.5 grains. Next trial will be 23.0 grains and someday soon, run 'em over my Oehler 35P. Just received two kegs today which should last me a week or two.

I do like the fact that '4227 runs at somewhat lower pressures for a given velocity in the .44 Magnum, no need to hammer the gun if you don't have to.

I must admit that shooting the SRH .44 Magnum is a lot of fun, even if I do find myself flinching after a while...
