A potentially interesting addendum to the Northfork/Trifusion Tactical kerfuffle from last year...

I ordered a case of Murom SPP from Powder Valley late last week and was surprised to note they they were shipped out of Oklahoma. Prior shipments had come out of Kansas but since OK is closer to me than KS, I get my stuff faster...cool.

The primers arrive and I look at the label to see they were originally consigned to Trifusion Tactical:

Was this the situation where pre-orders were taken and then the primers got stuck in Canada and people were trying to get refunds (or am I thinking of something else)?

I thought that scenario was NorthFork Tactical....( I fell for it, but got my refund in a timely matter )

That is correct. Northfork took pre-paid pre-orders but their primers were misdirected. Trifusion was mentioned in the same thread. They were taking a 50% down payment on pre-orders and there were questions regarding their legitimacy.

Your characterization of Northfork’s situation is charitable. It never did pass the smell test…we were all willing to hold our breath/spray a little fa breeze however.

Interesting that provided the label above is legit, Trifusion actually looks more legit than Northfork (that is if there can be degrees of legitimacy). I do recall Trifusion told anyone who’d listen they were getting theirs from Turkey. May be misremembering that piece.

I sent my credit card info and waited several months on North Fork Tactical to come through. After they finally said the primers would be much more than the previous quote I asked for my money back and my card was promptly credited. SPP seem to just now be very sporadically coming back but prices have not dropped yet. Large rifle primers are still not to be found.

Just before this craziness started, I was shooting more SPP than anything else. I stocked up accordingly.
Now I shoot more LRP than anything else, and find myself with less than half the stock of SPP.

I am aware that I will have to pay more, but I certainly hope LRP comes back before I get so low that I stop shooting.
