So, what caliber, bullet weight/type/purpose, and we can probably help.
I would guess he is brand new and he picked those up because he has a 9mm and a 223 and work well for those mainstream cartridges they were designed for. I have only loaded cfe223 for a friend and never used pistol. He may mean Hodgdon CFE 223 and Hodgdon CFE Pistol. Apparently they are the only powders that are good for anything.
There are really many quality options. Are you looking for target or full power options for sd training?Yes I am new at reloading. What I was asking is there any other powder that performs as good or better than CFE.223. And also CFE pistol. I am currently loading 9mm with 115gr Hornady XTP. And with hard to come across CFE which is what I have been using thought I would ask if anyone else out there has used a different powder
To briefly answer your question, yes there is.Other than hodgen CFE pistol and .223 is there another powder that performs better or as good as the hodgon
CFE Pistol is okay in 9mm, but then so are Unique, Titegroup, Bullseye, W-231, Universal, Accurate No. 5 and 7 and many others.
For 9mm Tightgroup, WSF, WST, SR7629, WIN 231Yes I am new at reloading. What I was asking is there any other powder that performs as good or better than CFE.223. And also CFE pistol.
