If they really are sending out guns with 3.5 lb triggers, it's just dangerous.

I disagree, vehemently in fact.

I grew up with single action pistols, 1911's mostly, still have one 1911, 4 BHP's and a pair of Witness Elite Match pistols in SA. The BHP's have all had trigger work done to make them smoother and lighter than stock, the 1911 is a very clean 3 1/2 pounds, and the Elite Match pistols are both down to 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 pounds. Walther, at least in the PPS, makes the only polymer framed gun that I am happy with the trigger right out of the box. Even better than my XdM Match in my mind. A smooth clean 3 1/2-5 pound trigger seems perfect to me, and after shooting many polymer framed guns, they seem to be doing it better than the others.

When choosing a pistol for my youngest daughter for her carry gun we wound up going with the PPS. She shot my XdM's and my Bersa and S&W Bodyguard .380's along with several other mini - 9mm's we rented. But in the end the shorter, lighter, cleaner pull of the PPS worked much better for her. I'm sure some of the Walther full size guns have triggers that are just as good, in her case with very small hands, the single stack just fits better. A better trigger lends itself to putting bullets where they need to be.

.1 reset also. 1/10th of an inch is not just light but fast short reset.

I agree. The reset on the PPQ M2 I have is 1/8th of an inch, perfect.

The take up is more than adequate for safety.

The actual break point is a nice crisp 1/2 pound more than my 1911s.

Again, I've NOT read any reviews about the trigger being a problem on this pistol for safety, or any other aspect.
