I was wondering if anyone besides myself would be interested in an extended slide Glock 21 along the lines of the models 34 (9mm) and 35 (40S&W). I like the better sight radius of the 35 but would prefer the 45ACP. I'm kinda curious why Glock doesn't build such a gun.

Theyre Normally competition guns used for idpa and such. How many people would like to pay 50 cents a round for competition shooting where up to 250 rounds can be shot a match.

Maybe I am unclear. I'm just asking why Glock doesn't make an extended slide version of the model 21 since they already do this in the models 34 and 35 for the 9 and 40 folks.

Most of your nonsponsored competition shooters reload, so they arent paying 50 cents a round, more like 5-10 cents a round.... if that. Some even cast their own boolits....which also saves a good deal of money.

I have also wondered about a long slide G21. I would buy one if it ever came to reality. The only current option would be to have Caspian do a custom long slide or just buy the slide and barrel from Lone Wolf Distributors.

It wouldn't be any heavier than a model 21 slide if they built it like the 35. The slide has a big chunk removed to keep the slide at the same weight.

They probably don't think the return would be worth it, though Glock doesn't necessarily make the best decisions on that sort of stuff. Personally a long slide 21 doesn't do anything for me . . . But a similar set up for the 20 would probably get me to shell out some money.
