For those of you that have reloaded for these lightweight .45ACP revolvers, do any of you have a favorite load for paper-punching practice at the range?

I have AR brass, 200gr LSWC 16Bhn bullets, Unique, 231, Bullseye, and Clays to work with.

I haven't picked up the 325PD yet, but I'm trying to put together some light, accurate loads for my first range trip.

Thanks.

Well--with those components available, I don't see why you wouldn't want to try one of the "231-accuracy loads for the 1911." At least, that's probably as good a place as any to start out at--e.g., "about 5.0" grains of 231 under that 200gr LSWC.

For many 1911s, that load will run just under or just over 800 fps. Since the 325 NG has a barrel equivalency of about 3.5-4", My guess is that it will run perhaps 750 or so, maybe down towards 700.
