Prairie Dog Hunting

It's not bear, deer or big game hunting but it's a blast. There are still dog towns in Western Kansas and it's great fun. Try it, you will like it. Use a 223. or a 22-250 or 25-06. Larger guns are an overkill.

lol its so red neck but i had my gf come over, (city girl) took her rock chuckin she had so much fun.. Ar15 and the 30.06 (400 yards or more) we hunt year round over here

I am interested in going to western Kansas next year for my first PD hunt. Any suggestions on how I locate areas to hunt in and the ranges I can expect to shoot at?

I am also Steve, have relatives just over the Kan-Colo border, but haven't known where to get into some good hunting. Any ideas would be appreciated! Mostly farm ground is where relatives live. Thanks again.
