Bought a used Mark II over a year ago. Put thousands of rounds through it. Firing pin stop came out during a cleaning, didn't realize it, and the firing pin overtraveled, dimpling the breechface.
Sent it to Ruger via Next Day - arrived Wed of last week, and I got a call from the gunsmith assigned to my gun only two days later(I had spoken to him before sending, and he told me it should be brought to his attention). He had already done a bunch of work unrelated to my reported problem, and one or two things he wasn't officially supposed to do, because I had some high-quality aftermarket parts.
Received the repaired gun yesterday, eight days after sending it out to them.
Hoping to have time to test it today, but I have little doubt the gun will work well.
Everyone I dealt with over there at Ruger was very helpful, and I'm impressed by the speedy turnaround.
