Member in memoriam
Folks I feel its my duty too inform our membership here at The High Road,
of one of our members family that needs our prayers, in these dark hours.
My dear friend, the silent one has a gracious son who is suffering
from a brain tumor; and currently is in a local hospital in the great state
of Rhode Island. In oder to protect his idenity, I will only give out his
first name; and that is Brian. Brian is a young male, in his 40's with a
lovely wife of approximately 2 years. His father and I have established
a beautiful friendship, since meeting here on The High Road 'bout three
years ago. He is definitely, a "man among men"; having distinguished
himself with his service to our country in The United States Marine
Corps during the Viet-Nam era.
Cancer has stricken his son (Brian), and he continues too have to
rotate in and out of the hospital. His dad and step-mom are just
about at wits end; and need the support, prayers, and concerns
of our THR family. All through this ordeal, this family's faith has
never wavered; and their trust in The Almighty has never been
compromised. I could go on and on, and tell you of all the good
things that this family has done too help others in need; but
knowing my friend the silent one the way I do, he would
not want me too do that.
So, as I close I will ask each and every member here today to
hit their knees and remember Brian and his family with a word
of prayer in his behalf. Thank you all very much.
