Prayer Request

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my dad, a WWII and Korean War vet, in October of 2001. He will always be my biggest hero and someone whose legacy I can never live up to. Good luck on your probate issues as I went though them as well. A good reason for all of us to have a will and some thought to their finances while they have the ability to make those decisions.

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your dad.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

At least now, all suffering is gone and he is with the Lord.

He is in my thoughts and best wishes, and even though not very religious I'll say some prayers for him too. Something tells me that his type is not the kind to get lost on the way to redemption, there will be a guiding light for him.

I'm not so much a praying man, but you're definitely in my thoughts, and your dad is, too. Good luck with the road ahead. Do yourself a favor, and promise yourself that you won't completely lose touch with your family over this estate fight. It happened to me when my dad passed, and I've had some regrets about it from time to time.

Big Boomer, just because you ask so carefully, reminding me of my common values with you (and I do believe we share them) I will offer my most sincere prayers for:

The Mansions of Heaven

This world, however beautiful, was never meant to be
The place that we would call our home for all eternity.
And though we would not choose to leave, a loving God knows best,
And in His time, He lifts us to a place of peace and rest.

For He has built a mansion where His children will abide,
Free from pain and sorrow, forever at His side.
He said He'd never leave us to face our trials alone,
And though sometimes we fail Him, He never fails His own.

And even when our choices are less than He would ask,
He knows when human courage is unequal to the task.
We cannot judge what happens, though tears and questions start.
We only see what's visible--God sees into the heart.

And though there may be many things that we cannot explain,
We can be sure it breaks His heart to see His children's pain.
In loving arms, He bears us to a quiet place apart
Where He mends the wounded spirit and heals the broken heart.

And though these ones we love so much have left our present sight
And passed into a better world of majesty and light
Someday we'll be together in our Father's house above,
Where we'll thank Him for His mercy and praise Him for His love.

May He ease your hour of sorrow and surround you with His love,
And may it bring you strength to know Our Father's house above
Is a house of many mansions where His Son has set aside
Special places near Him for His loved ones to abide.

Prayers sent. I lost my Grandmother this past Sunday, so I kinda know where you are right now. Never doubt the power of prayer.

Thanks, I needed that right now.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. As another poster said, "Do the right thing." May the Lord give you peace.

Sincerely,

Catherine

Revelation 21 (King James Version)

1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
