It seems that potential legislation will need to clear the hurdle of politically vulnerable Democrats that are up for re-election in the coming years. Biden and other members of the administration are on a campaign telling congressional Democrats not to worry about political backlash - that this time will be different than 94 and the repercussions that followed. They're basically being told that most people support this BS.

Obviously, it's important to write all of our own reps and let them know our views and expectations. What is the best plan of attack after that? IMO, a two fold plan of attack could be beneficial.

1) Identify the most " exposed" democratic congressman that may be sitting on the fence - fearful of being left out to dry if they vote with the antis.

2) Let them know their fear is valid. While I (and most of you) can't vote for these particular congressmen, we can coordinate a letter campaign to let them know that we're watching and that we will vote with our wallets for their opponents campaign if they support anti gun legislation.

I realize this idea isn't novel but I felt it was important to throw it back out there. Is there a way to make this easy for large groups of people (a la the ruger automatic letter campaign?)

Many politicians won't read and don't care about people's letters outside their voting district. I thinking identifying those politicians and posting their names on forums like this and calling for their people to flood them with letters, e-mails and phone calls is probably the best way to go.

Agreed. The calls are already out for their constituents to write and call. For outsiders the threat of funding opposition may be the only way to get their attention
