This old nickle 49 Bodyguard is my "pawn shop save" for $250.00 several years ago.. My wife was with me and saw it first and suggested the old J-frame needed a good home.
Gotta love a woman who thinks like that.. And I do..
My vote goes for the Whitney. A lot of people think it's over the top but at least they tried. Most semi-autos look way too utilitarian. When they made this one, they put as much time & effort into form (probably more) as they did with function. Except for the Wolverine, I'm more attached to my revolvers because they're rounder, curvier & more naturally shaped and they generally feel better in hand. I don't like to look at or handle a blocky anything.
Oh yeah: It's the wickedest shooting .22 around. Try one if you get a chance. Never jams, has a trigger to die for and, to boot, it's a monster tack driver. I've owned another one and it shot the same so I don't think it's a fluke.
One I own:
And one I'd like to own, although they only only made 500 so I'm not holding my breath:
Wow-never knew there was a polished (is that nickel?) wolverine. That thing is beautiful.
<geek> The first thing I though of when I saw it was the Nubian ships in Star Wars 1-3.</geek> I guess spaceship is what they were going for, and they nailed it.
