A buddy called me today, his neighbor had a Taurus Millenium subject to the recall, they sent him a G2c in exchange, said neighbor is trying to unload the G2c, new in box, never fired. Looks like they run $250 at Cabelas, $220 Brownells + transfer fee, call it break even, $210 ish buy it now price on Gunbroker + shipping and transfer, again, call it break even... Apparently the bottom absolutely fell out of these Taurus pistols following the recall - not that they were ever expensive, but they’re obviously not bringing much these days!
I keep a fleet of 9mm pistols to use as loaners and demo pistols in handgun classes, and the price might be worth adding. I’ve never had trouble making Taurus pistols behave and run properly for customers, so that doesn’t turn me off - I just wouldn’t carry it to potentially save my own life...
So what’s a fair offer on it, should I decide I’m inclined to buy it from the guy?
