I'm looking at buying a new Ruger Single Six Stainless convertible 22 lr/mag
for $289.00 + S&H. I have not done any pricing on these in a long time but
IIRC they usually ran over $300. Is this a good deal?

Thanks
WM

that sounds like a pretty good price. lately i'm seeing blued models going for $300-$400, depending on barrel length.

and one of the most fun guns in my collection. owning a single action .22 should be a requirement. i first started shooting on a Ruger Bearcat, and now dad and i both own Single-Sixes. mine is 6 1/2", his is 8 1/2". i carry it with the .22WMR cylinder when hunting in arizona.

Did some more checking and every thing I have seen seems to match up with
the 2 responses here.

Done deal! :D

Sounds like a good price. I just purchased a Ruger 22/22 mag. stainless, 6 1/2" barrel for $375. I love this gun so much fun to shoot.

I have read the Ruger Single Six barrel is sized for the larger .22 Mag round and accuracy with the .22LR is less than with the Mag round. Is this true? What accuracy can I expect with the Single Six in .22LR. I've always wanted one and I'd like to buy one "for my wife".
