Excuse me for window shopping. I've been out of the toy buying business for awhile. I have someone in need of service weapon..the local gunshop offered me a glock 17(nib), with three high cap magazines (17 rounds, I think), drop frees (metal inserts), standard plastic sights. It's the new one's with front rail deals. He'll sell it to me for $530 out the door. Is that a good deal nowadays? Thanks for any info or input.

www.budsgunshop.com sells them NIB w/ two mags for $463. Add shipping and dealer fee, plus the third mag, and you're right in that neighborhood. Not a bad price. What else are you interested in? Full size 9mm service pistols are very plentiful. If you want a new Glock that looks like a good price to me. If you want other options new or used in that category options abound. Let us know what you're thinkin. Also if this is for another shooter take them to a gunshop to handle, or better option, range to handle and shoot, several different makes and models to see what fits his/her hand. Keep us informed.

It depends if those are night sights. If this gun is for a LEO or Military person they can get it for $400 new with nite sites and 3 high cap magazines. Contact Glock for there list of LEO dealers.

The guy only said he'd give it to me "at cost"...which is ends up about $15 bucks under the retail tag price. ...standard plastic sights.

If the TX in your name means Texas, that price is a little high price. You should be in the neighborhood of $475 for the pistol, plus $15 for the extra magazine. If you shop around an extra $10 will get you nightsights.

SalTx,

Look at summit gun brokers. He has a lot of used, and/or reconditioined Glocks. Very good prices. I had a good experieince with Mark.

Good luck.

Top Glock sells them for about $450 with 2 high caps and regular sights. If you buy the night sights from them, they put them on before they ship the gun. They charge $18.66 for each gun and include a few accessories. I've recommended my co-workers to them and they've all been treated well.

$530 out the door, sounds reasonable to me. I paid $479 for my G17 at the cheapest local place, and by the time you add tax, and the extra mag you're looking at $527.74. It's not a "deal", but it is in line with what most places are charging, maybe even a few dollars cheaper.
