LGS has a blued 58 that is really clean, just a trace of left side muzzle wear.
No box, aftermarket target thumbrest! grips.

A guy can't keep up on all models, so I searched the usual suspects with no luck for prices.

Just wondering if anyone is up on current values.

They are wanting 750.

Thanks, JT

$750.00 seems steep, a LGS has a pretty nice 58 with box and original grips for $575.00 and I thought that was a little high. I purchased my second one last spring (95%) for $500.00 OTD and felt it was a killer deal.

I would agree; $750 sounds rather high for a Model 58 in the condition that you described. Last one a saw a while back was priced around $550 to $575, much like the one in your LGS. Various gun value guides put it in the neighborhood of $800 to $1100 for one in mint condition. Another place to check for current prices is by looking at the Completed Auctions on gunbroker.com to see what they're currently selling for.

I sold a NIB M58 three years ago for $1250. They were at their peak then.

if you can buy one for under $600 take it!! these bring close to a
grand at any show. also if the serial number starts with a S it's worth
more than the N. S prefix is early and if it has cokes(witch would be correct)the price keeps going up.

Thanks all for the replies.

Kinda just felt it was high. I always make good eye contact when discussing value/price and got the feeling he might have enough room for a deal, as he was trying the 'check your shoelaces' dodge.

Give it a week or two. If it's gone, so be it.

But the 4" .41 magnum power would be a lot more gun than the Colt .357 I pack now. My 6" 57 (or any 6") on the hip is just too long for getting in and out of the rig.

Sounds like I'm talking myself into yet another one!
