For my 100th should I buy this post...
I found a used Winchester 94 30-30 with the ring on the side of the receiver (saddle ring, I think?), and a big loop lever and 18" barrel (actually I think it was a 16").
It was great shape, one little mark on the stock, otherwise looked new. The wood wasn't the greatest color match stock to forearm but the grain looked very similar and it looked nice...$450.
Good deal? I have a pistol I want to get rid of and I may see if they would just swap me.
I really don't need a 30-30 lever but I have thought about picking up a $300 Marlin just because I am a high road member and it seems like I should have one.
How common is this configuration, any collector's appeal?
