The local CBS affiliate TV Station airs local news starting at 4:30 PM. Today, the News was immediatly preceded by a commercial for a local gun store touting their line of high quality defensive handguns. :D

So what's it like living over there in America?

We have at least two gun/sporting goods stores that regularly run gun-specific ads on local television. We will see more ads for gun "specials" with Christmas approaching. The Gun Shows normally advertise on radio.

Colorado Springs is one of the more intelligent, rational parts of Colorado.
Actually, Wolf, after reading about some of these other places, our whole state is pretty intelligent and rational, excepting maybe Denver and Boulder. And then only the newer residents.

I recently moved from Oxnard,CA, where there were regularly prime time ads for Shooters Paradise gun shop and range on a local affiliate. I was shocked to see a gun shop commercial in the PRK!

Never thought about this before.......Many of our larger dealers
advertize regularly, and I've heard any anti comentary......
I have'nt even heard any negative comments on LL BEANS
Shooting/Fishing Sports Center, They put it in a separate building
but considering the number of folks who go there, and the increased
potential for anti's,,,,,Hummm same for Kittery Trading Post but they
put on a separate wing, locals like Van Raymond, Willey's and
their Indian Hill site, Old Town Trading Post all tout their Hunting season
specials on TV and Radio as well as the papers.

Unfortuantely, I moved to an even worse gun environment. No guns for me in Korea. I made the choice to do some work overseas that was a lot more lucrative. It was a tradeoff that I was uncomfortable making, but when I come back my career will be furthered, and I will have a lot more money for more guns!

The only ads I see are in the papers, even when Hoffman's has it's annual sale.....and that one usually draws a pretty good crowd.

Haven't been to Kittery Trading Post in awhile. Usually stop in on my way upstate.....how often do you get there, Snug?

Amazing for me here in the PRK. I'm actually IN a commercial that my range aired on TV.

I never got to see the commercial on TV, but I did get a copy of it. Cool.
