I see that Wideners has unfired Lake City Pulldown .308 brass that is unfired for sale for $34.99 per 100. http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/26972 Apparently, all that's needed is to neck size the brass, since it retains its sizing from the factory.
The next cheapest brass is primed Federal .308 brass for $38.99 per 100.
Besides the additional hassle of removing the military crimp on the Lake City, are there any pros and cons to using LC versus other brands of brass? I'm aware of the difference in thickness between military and commercial brass. It seems like thicker brass is a plus?
Thanks,
-John
