I'm not really trying to promote a product here but I got a new Dillon primer pocket swagger yesterday. I used it for my .223 brass I've been picking up at the range (lot's of military stuff). This tool is FANTASTIC! Swagging out primer pockets are a breeze. I was able to knock out around 200 last night in about 15 minutes. Good tool for those using military brass. I got it direct from Dillon (drove over there) for $86 & change +tax.

That's my experience too. Fast, and you're not removing metal. It's _so_ much faster than the ones I had done with my RCBS Trim Mate attachment. Well worth it.

Has anyone compared the Dillon to the RCBS swager die set, or the CH4D swager/ram-prime die? They're both a heck of a lot cheaper...

I wish you all would stop talking about the Dillon swage tool. The more I hear about them the more I want one.:D

There is too LARGE of difference in the ease of operation and quality/uniformity of the swage provided by the Dillon swager. I owned an RCBS....there is not comparison.

Remember you might have to reset the length when changing to different brands of brass or different lots.

Yeah, I've heard the rcbs is slow, since it requires a complete cycle of the press ram. The CH4D should be quicker, since it only requires a partial stroke.

how far do you go into the primer hole with the swage .......mine doesnt seem like it lines up totally straight ..kinda favors to one side more is that a problem......thanks

I will have to take a picture of my Dillion setup. I use two hands, two boxes, and I believe that I can swag a case, and have another on the tool in about three seconds. If I can flip arm fast enough, and have a case actually land in the box, I can really motor with this swager.

The only thing that takes time is changing from one primer size to another. Setup takes time.
