Bench Rest Rifle, large pistol, small pistol, shotgun, muzzel loader.....CCI, Federal and Cheddite.
Guessing 50 or 60 bricks at least. Bought 2,000 CCI small pistol for $85 a thousand.
Not what they were 2 years ago, but about the going rate....and I didn't have to pay postage or hazmat.

Lots of ammo and powder also. Things are getting better, slowly, but better.

2022 will be good to use reloaders!

save your smiles and a kiss! PRIMER time!

When LGS gouge and screw over gun owners I NEVER spend a dime there again. Sell what they have at a fair price and when it (primers, whatever else) and when it is gone from the shelves it is gone otherwise I vote with my feet. The "if you want it bad enough, I have it and I will make you bleed to get it" mentality is financially sadistic and they can just go, ahem, "love themselves", they aren't getting my money.

A local reloading/gun store where I shopped until yesterday has a new shipment of primers in for $9-11 per 100, limit 100 per person, WITH an ADDITIONAL purchase of $10 or more.

I won't publish the name of the store because this post isn't to trash a mom and pop business, just an anecdote/observation about how things are. It's still a free country and they are free to charge what the want. And I'm free to shop elsewhere.

I agree completely. I should say that this LGS had been very fair with their prices. They have had powder at prices lower than any I've seen on the internet for the last year. I spoke briefly with the owner a week or so ago and he stated that he is only adding the same markup to the primers that he has always charged. The primers are just costing him more to purchase also.

I don't have any idea what the "stabilized" price of primers will be later this year, I was just glad to see so many on the shelf and have some to load with this winter. I'm hoping that the next time something like this happens that I'll already have some supplies.

The only thing about this that bugs me is that I am not sure who is doing the gouging. A store near me has some primers available for $94 per thousand. But they paid $85 a thousand for them so I don't see where they are the ones doing the gouging. They got what stock they were able to and made them available. I would not pay that much myself. At least not yet since I still have small and large pistol from before this shortage. But I can't trash the shop for what they are doing.

I haven't seen primers on the shelf since July so that's a score in my book. Happy New Year!

Yesterday I went to range that also has reloading supplies and although on the thin side they had a fair selection of powders and bullets. They had 209 primers. The first primers I have seen since late '19. I was looking at the Hornady xtp's and noticed 1 box a few dollars cheaper than the others and asked the owner about it and he said that box came in a few weeks before the others. I appreciated the fact he didn't mark it up. Some folks are honest and not out to price gouge. I was pondering the other day that even if primers are going to cost us $90 per 1k, that only makes each round go up by about $0.06 each. That makes it a little easier to swallow!!

Just found CCI #500 in stock $61/K. Shipping is a gouging flat $25, so I ordered two to help ease the pain. Be warned, they use Zello, another service and PayPal only. Luckily Paypal was up and ready. Now to put those new dies, bullets and powders to work! 9mm, .38 and .357 here I come!

You might want to look at their address with Google Maps street view before you send them any money. Just saying.

You might want to Google "the primer house". I could find nobody that received their products or even had emails returned. I hope for you that they are legit, but in the mean time I'm hoping Paypal will make good if they are not.
The place certainly sounds like a scam.

I just got small pistol magnum primers ( limit 500 ) at a store @ $10 / hundred. They had a selection but not a lot.

A couple months ago Cabelas had a whole shelf full.of primers so I got a couple k of LR, got the last brick.of LRM and a brick each of small pistol and small rifle for my friend in Dallas for when he visits here.

The large rifle/ pistol ran about $100 and the small rifle / pistol were about $80.

There was some H110 on the shelves and a few more powders too

Local shop has been out of primers for a while. Looks like most of the online (midway) supply was bought at inflated prices with newly found christmas money. Waiting to find some large pistol primers for a 44 mag revolver in my future. Until then, have plenty of small pistol and rifle to hold me over.
