I went to Johnson's Sausage Shoppe in Rio Wisconsin today. Behind the cashier was a big sign that said if you are carrying a gun or have a CCW card you will receive a 5% discount. I was pleasantly surprised and told them they would be getting more of my business in the future due to their stance. I think we need to thank and support these businesses that are visually pro 2nd. If you want to thank them here is their website http://johnsonssausage.com

There is a chain of Fleet Farm stores in WI and MN that have a gun sign out front. Says all firearms coming in for repair need to be unloaded and cased, but does not apply to legal permit carry holders, and permit carry holders are welcome. I shop there all the time. :D

The cigar shop I go to has a sign in the window clearly allowing firearms on the premises.
It's the funny one that says something like, "Firearms welcome on these premises. If the need arises to use it, judicious marksmanship is requested."
It's right next to the sign that says, "This is a work free smoke place." lol

They're pretty cool.

When either supporting or not supporting a business for 2A reasons, make sure you let them know why. I live in a very small town where every sale is a decent percent of daily profit, voicing an opinion has weight. Most places near me are firmly in the "Eh, whatever" camp. Pretty rural area so guns aren't a big deal at all and whether or not you're carrying one probably never crosses their minds.

If they offer shipping then put the link here. I will be glad to support a business that is openly supportive of 2A but driving to Wisconsin for sausage might be a bit much.

I found their website. Just placed a $51 order for some sausages and such.

A also just noticed the link in the original post. I sent them an email letting them know I read the post and placed an order because of their support of MY rights.

There is a machine shop around here that I visit every now and again for motor work. They've got a sign by the door that says something about firearms, conceiled or otherwise, being perfectly welcome. Another behind the counter states that guns and ammo are an acceptable form of payment. I thought that it was pretty neat to see that in this day and age.

So no black powder shooting?

We have a number of business around here offering discounts. There's a list on the VCDL website.

Sam,

Wanna go in together for some bacon? I'm wondering just how much we can get from their menu shipped out to us here. Guess they could use dry ice to ship perishables? I know that Legal Seafood does that with their menu.

The bacon is very good! They also have grilling bacon I saw at the store that was about 1/4" thick.

Midwest, sorry I never thought of taking a picture.

Let's talk. There's quite a few things I'm thinking I've got to try.

And ... maybe I just have to have some of that ghost pepper cheese... I'm going to run into a situation someday where that would come in handy -- I just kNOW It! :D

I ordered some bacon, franks, and brats. By next week I should be able to publish an official report.

I often send Dreamland BBQ ribs to people in CA and they have no problem with shipping fresh cooked meat from Alabama so I'm not worried abut the shipping part.

Sam1911, my uncle raised ghost peppers two years ago.

Not. In. A. Million. Years.

Period.

Had to wear gloves to pick them, throw gloves away when done picking and wash up to your elbows because the oil migrates with movement and seeps through cotton gloves.
