I'm having a problem with my primers feeding in my Dillon Square Deal press.
I'm loading 45 ACP and the primers have stopped feeding from the primer tube. They are simply dropping out of the bottom of the press onto the floor. Anybody ever had a similar problem?

I haven't had this exact problem but I did have a problem with primers not feeding at all The little plastic gizmo at the bottom of the primer tube somehow got a little kinked up and wouldn't feed primers.

I'd pull the primer tube out and inspect that plastic gizmo. I assume that the primer arm is traveling in and out with the operating lever, i.e., the return spring for the primer arm isn't broken?

No, the spring is fine. I was looking at Dillon's webpage and they suggest that the components might be dirty. The only problem is that the numbers of the parts on the web page don't correspond with the numbers in my owner's manual. I guess they've changed the numbering system.

Take the priming system apart and check the colored plastic cap piece on the bottom end of the tube that the primer drops into (the one Threadkiller is referring to.) All of my primer problems were related to this piece being bent.

I've had that problem many times. 99 out of a hundred times the red plastic tip is split which causes the primer to fly and not drop into the primer cup.

there is a plastic or maybe brass plunger that prevents the primers from falling. it may be sticking. it is actuated by the primer cup and returned by the leaf spring on the front of the primer assembly. just loosen the hex screw and slide the spring aside a bit. now you can remove the plunger. clean the plunger and its recess with alcohol and maybe a pipe cleaner or Q-tip.
