Hello;
I'm trying to make up my mind. I need a small to middling size auto for ccw in the summer, and can't find any one local with either to shoot. I've fired a SA micro-compact with porting before, and couldn't hit much with it.
Fired a SA Compact that some one had worked over, and it was as good as my sig 220. I generally do like sigs, but for carry I'd probably prefer to be on a platform with a safety.
I have a 4" XD, and dont particularly like it. A bit too blocky, too big for ccw, and for some reason I just don't shoot it particularly well (I'm a southpaw). Shot some one else's Xd-40 with great results, so it could just be the pistol in question for all I know.
I've shot combat tupperware in the same size as the sig 239 before in 40, and don't expect there would be any issues with it. But, the high bore line feels odd in my hand. I haven't had a chance to shoot one, so I don't know if it'd actually bother me.
Any one have both? any preferences for carry?
thanks for any feed back.
