AUG sounds like hog without the h. I've always said F-A-L as three seperate letters, YMMV.

I've always said A-K Fourty seven and A-R Fifteen and H-K.
Though I do say fal (rhymes with pal), and Aug (like previous poster, Hog without H)

What about FAMAS and CETME? How about the FN MAG... is it pronounced 'mag' or M.A.G.? That would make it an "F'n Mag!" "Hey, my P90 broke, give me the F'n Mag!" "Them guys in Belgium make some good F'n weapons." "Love to get my hands on an F'n High Power." "Where'd you hide the F'n gun!?"

Usually I call my 10/22 by that other label when it F'n jams!

FAMAS = FUH-MOSS.
FAL = F. A. L.
I've been guilty (ignorant ) of saying some of the terms in the world of firearms incorrectly, and may still do so at times!
How 'bout...
LEUPOLD = LOO-POLED.
HODGDON= HODJ-DUNN.
GARAND = GAIR-UND.
WHELEN = WAY-LUN.
SHILEN = SHILL-UN.
SWAROVSKI = SAR-OFF-SKEE.
There are a couple more that I actually CALLED the company and ASKED...
If I remember them later, I'll add them in here.
