I always like when folks tell me how to pronounce my own last name. "Cause, I been sayin' it wrong since my talkin' ability kicked in"(said in a thick North Alabama-Appalachian{hillbilly}accent).

Will? That doesn't sound too hard. ;)

I had to come back to this thread to find out why in the hell it is still going!!!!:)

Totally off topic now.

I'll add to the nut house. How many of you have Brown shavers? Go ahead, google "brown shavers". :D pronunciation?.....brown.

Funny!

BTW "brown shavers" are not gun related. Refrain from mispronounced non-gun related words or "SOMEBODY" might close this thread!

PS - Please be sure and extend your thanks to Walkalong for reopening the thread so that we could have a few more laughs. It has been funny and fun!

OK, I apologize.......and I forgive Walkalong for opening the thread back.....afterall it was April Fools Day yesterday.;)

It is apparently too difficult to say without the partial removal of the American tounge.

Being mostly self taught and manuals or the ones I've read, didn't give phonetics. I was stumped to no end on the words Ogive, Chamfer and Swage. Oddly, I got Sabot. I must have sounded obsurd talking about it. Not much has changed!

like sabotage, as sabot is the origin of the word.

dang dutch and their wooden shoes... at the beginning of the industrial revolution, dutch workers would throw their wooden shoes into the machinery to muck up the works.
