Great ammo, I buy 8mm Mauser and 7.5 French from them, and a great prices too. In fact, I have both 198gr and 200gr 8mm from them, so I always recommend their ammo.
It's my favorite (ok, only ) factory ammo for 7x57 among many others. If they load it, buy it. If they don't, buy a press and dies because anyone else will steal you blind.
I've only used PPU ammo once, picked up a box of 223 69gr when Cabelas had them on closeout. This is the only ammo I have ever quit shooting and taken apart to see what was wrong with it. Fully half the rounds showed extreme pressure and after one blew/pierced the primer I quit shooting them. The powder varied a full 3/10ths of a gain and I found the crimp on the rounds was so strong there was a ring in the bullet that measured 4 thou smaller than nominal. It may well be the rounds were loaded to 5.56 pressures but it'd still be unacceptable. I'll not pay for the privilege again. I'll stick with the Winchester or Remington white box if I should want some inexpensive rounds.
Ive shot it in my AR on a couple of occasions and it was fine but messy! It left behind red specks of crap all in my bolt carrer and inside the bolt itself. Im guessing it was primer sealant?!?!
