Hi guys,

I think I just bought a bunch of 223 off of the PSA Labor Day sale, and I'm not sure whether it actually ordered or not. It's been an hour and no confirmation has come through, and there's nothing on my credit card. I logged in as a guest, so there's no account on record either.

I would call their customer service, but they're closed tomorrow.

They've got some American Eagle at a price I'd hate to miss out on, but at the same time, I'm not going to risk a double-order with as much as I bought.

Has anyone else had any issues like this?

yeah, ordered from them last week. a small order. no confirmation, I hear they are having automation issues. not sure if my order is a "go" or not

but I sure do get an ad from them every day in my inbox

Been a common occurrence lately. My card gets charged a day or so after the order and the order just shows up. I too am used to the confirmation emails.

Yeah, it definitely would have been worth the trouble to make an account.

I created one, just on the slim chance the order could be tied back to my email or something. No luck.

I always have problems with PSA. Never get confirmation emails and never get shipping emails. Recently I ordered two BCG and never received any shipping notice. Came home one day and a box was sitting on the porch. I don't know why every other company in the world can send out a shipping notice and method of tracking your UPS of FedEx shipment except PSA.

I hear PSA has been having issues lately with their computer infrastructure/software. They've also been having trouble with phone answering. I look at it this way, does it really matter? PSA has never been known for their prompt service, but you always get it for the price you paid, which is usually lower than anyone else.

I've got an order that was placed on 8/24 and its still "processing". I got an awesome deal, but the service and shipping times are pathetic.

With the amount of talk and about of post made about PSA lately you would think people would get it by now. If you want to take advantage of PSA's awesome deals you have to deal with the negatives. We are really beating a dead horse with this subject, multiple thread made per weak about customer service complaints and shipping complaints. Make your order and wait the time for your products to be dropped off at your house.

I only order via guest accounts if at all possible, too much credit card info leaking out as it is, we seem to get hit with credit card fraudulent charges once or twice a year, real PITA.

Placed a PSA order for some parts last night, got the confirmation soon thereafter.
Probably having automation issues.

If you are in a hurry, is it worth it to pay more to get it faster? do you spring for overnight or next day shipping? Me, pretty much never, unless its a part to fix the A/C unit in July :)

How is ordering as a guest going to protect your CC information?

Yes, PSA is poor in communication, and yes, they are slow in shipping. But, if you have patience you can get some very good deals. I am spoiled by Amazon Prime 2 day shipping (even received an order this past Labor Day weekend Sunday from USPS), but I am willing to wait on PSA for the bargains.

How is ordering as a guest going to protect your CC information?
A lot of places, when you setup and account, keep your credit card information and billing/shipping address "on-file", presumably they don't for guest accounts, but of course they still could!

I can't prove it, but I had credit card fraud shortly after AIM Surplus got hacked, they had my C&R and CC info on file from previous purchases. I didn't lose anything except some time hassling with it.

Poor buggers that think PSA takes too long to ship, wait until you order from the CMP.:D Or better yet, wait until your first Form 4 Tax Stamp comes in...:neener:

In a day and age if instant gratification, we seem to forget that just a few short years ago, mail order was the normal. 1 week for your order to be mailed in, 1 week for order processing, 1 more week for final delivery. Calm down, relax and have a beer.

PSA finally shipped my order today, from 8/24. Right at 10 days with the holiday. Its a BCG and 5.56 ammo combo for 99 bucks.....nothing I have to have right now.

I'm now happy its on its way!

Just an update to this thread for any future Googlers.

My ammo came on Wednesday, and everything with the shipment was fine. I think the charge from PSA showed up on my credit card 2 days after I ordered from them. A tracking number would have been nice, but in the end they got my stuff to me in a fairly reasonable amount of time, so I can't complain to much.
