I have a savage trophy hunter xp in 308 that I want to put a new stock on. XP models require bottom metal to be added tho, as the original design makes the magazine fit into the stock through a small ledge that it clips into. What do you all think about the PTG and CTI bottoms? PTG is cheaper, and is made to accept AICS mags. I dont think CTI actually makes a bottom metal for model 11s though, just 10/110, but correct me if I am wrong. PTG offers DBM for 128.00, 168.00 w/ bolt release. Reviews, tips, and things to watch out for? Thanks guys.

I don't know about that particular PTG offering, but I've never been disappointed in the PTG parts and tools that I've used. Got a sneaking suspicion that they are the ghost manufacturer for quite a few folks including those other branded parts that they sell on their website.
Are you talking about CDI out of Sarasota? Never heard of CTI.
