I was selected as a jury member in a civil case. I won't go into the details other than it involved a death of a teenager. For the most part the evidence and history of the teenager's past, logical conclusions were totally ignored. Emotion ruled due to the death of the teenager and was the focus of all the women on the jury and a few of the men. Even though all the evidence presented left no doubt that the teenager caused his own death, the majority wanted to find for the plaintiff. Luckily the trial ended in a hung jury. When you get the emotional snowflake types on a jury how do you think they will react when they see an evil black gun with a skull engraved on it? Regardless of what you believe, it is a moot point, only what the jury thinks means anything.
