Purchasing Automatic Knives

Yeah, I have a big problem with unenforced or selectively enforced laws.
They lead to an attitude of contempt for laws and law enforcement.
If you aren't going to enforce a law then take it off of the books.
If you are going to enforce a law then enforce it every time that it is broken - by anyone.

selectively enforced laws.

Most state knife laws tend to be selectively enforced and many are written vaguely enough so they can be used to plus up charges against the "unsuitable" sorts. Knife Rights has used those situations to their advantage in getting cooperation across the aisle to get legislation passed to get rid of restrictions on knife owners.

Last year Governor Bullock made the carrying of automatic knives legal in MT. I really like the Taiwanese made Boker knives and recently bought two from BladeHQ. Excellent quality for a reasonable amount of money. I did put down a deposit on a yet to be released SpyderCo automatic knife which is probably not much better than the Boker models but 5 times more expensive! I don't remember having to check any box to say that I'm legally allowed to own automatic knives.
