Hello,

I recently had to take the wooden stock off of my Winchester model 70 , because it got soaked on a deer hunt. I put it back on and tightened the front and back screws tight, and snugged the middle screw. Did I screw up the accuracy? I feel I should take it in to a gunshop and let the pro's do it. I don't even have the proper torque wrench.

Thanks

You don't need a torque wrench for a Winchester wooden stock. Sounds like you've already done fine. Of course you'll need to rezero.

You did it right. Even if a pro does it I would still suggest you fire a few to check your zero.
