Q: Accuracy comparison: AR-15 -vs- AR-10

Hello all- I'm just curious- what's the "real world accuracy" of an AR-10 (.308 Win) at 100 yards compared to an AR-15 (.223 Rem). I know AR-15s can be all over the place depending on the rifle and cartridge being shot. But if you were just comparing the caliber (.223 -vs- .308) for the AR platform, what factor does that alone have for accuracy in your experience? (This question coming from a mostly-bolt rifle shooter).

I have seen both shoot amazingly well with good ammo, a good shooter, and a good rifle. I'm sure they both can shoot equally bad with bad ammo, a bad shooter, and a bad rifle. I haven't seen any difference overall when all other things are as close to equal as possible.

at 100 yards, the caliber itself will make almost no difference in accuracy.

I think 500 yards would be a better test. I have hit man sized target with the AR15 pretty well. I have not tried it with my AR10 I am curious about how tight the groups will be though.
