Our local BigLots Has marine grade Quaker State Lithum grease. 3-3 ounce tubes for $1.99. Would lithum grease be any good for firearms.

I dont' see why not.. its supposed to hold up under high-head conditions right? you could always try it.. i bet it wouldn't hurt the finish.

Just my nickel's worth.... been shooting since about 1955. Since the mid-60's, I've used Lubriplate 130-A. It's lithium based, mil-spec, and I use it on any sliding, or cam surface. It's worked well for me, for a looong time.

It's really good for car door hinges and stuff...I thought everybody kept a tube or two in the trunk. It works just fine on guns too, but I like spending money on every brand of gun grease and oil ever made.
