I have read that some custom barrel makers will not honour their warranties if shooters use moly coated bullets in their barrels. I have a Remington BDL
.223 in stainless and while it has a factory barrel and not some super expensive job, I find it very accurate, especially with the Winchester Ballistic Silver-Tip bullets.
Being coated with Lubalox, which I am told is moly, should I have any concern on using these rounds?
I find it hard to believe that manufacturers such as Winchester and Hornady would make them this way if they could possibly damage a barrel.
