I have read that some custom barrel makers will not honour their warranties if shooters use moly coated bullets in their barrels. I have a Remington BDL
.223 in stainless and while it has a factory barrel and not some super expensive job, I find it very accurate, especially with the Winchester Ballistic Silver-Tip bullets.
Being coated with Lubalox, which I am told is moly, should I have any concern on using these rounds?
I find it hard to believe that manufacturers such as Winchester and Hornady would make them this way if they could possibly damage a barrel.

Lubalox is not Moly so you don't have anything to worry about. Lubalox doesn't appear to be more than a color coating as it can be removed very easily with bore solvent.

Aha!! Thank you for that. The gunshop fella gave me wrong info. I'm glad about that, they are great bullets in my rifle.
