so do ffls like doing this? selling another companies guns for them? seems like they wouldnt want to...do they get a fee and its easy money for them or what? maybe this is explained in earlier posts, guess i should read first!
Figure like this: normally a business would have to put out X amount of dollars to buy an item, then tie up that cash while it sits on the shelf until it sells. I don't know what the profit margins are, but I suspect they may not be that high.

If he only does the transfer, an operation that literally takes a few minutes, he has made his profit without tying up any capital. He may also make additional sales while the customer is in the store. He may also have attracted a customer who's never been in his store before.

What's not to like?

To add to Speedo's remark, volume also makes a difference in what an FFL pays for his product from the wholesaler, so taking a transfer, the profit is fixed in place.

I used to use a FFL until I was setting up a transfer from CDNN. I was getting the gun for a discount, and because my FFL also used CDNN, my FFL was increasing his transfer equal to the profit he would have made had I bought the gun from him.

Needless to say, (and, if it's truly needless, why say it?), those clowns are not my FFL anymore.
