Among you people that handload for your Hi Point model JHP .45 acp pistol, have you experienced any issues as far as function, brass deformity / bulges etc ?

I'm considering getting one and if I do it will be fed with my 230 gr. FMJ handload only. Thanks for your feedback.

Never owned a Hi-Point.
But as far as reloading for one?

It would be no different then reloading for anything else.

One of the earmarks of a good reload is, it is every bit as good, if not better then factory ammo.

So if the Hi-Point has no issues with factory ammo?
It will have no issues with quality reloads either.

I have a c9 and they do great with reloads. I have ran probably about 100rd at 60k psi with no deformed brass and the chamber on my gun is nice and tight.

The biggest problem with hi points is their crappy mags but with the .45 you can mod 1911 mags and then you should be problem free.
